1. Overview

Guilt Room is an online service that creates personalized murder mystery party games. We process personal data only as needed to run the service, perform contracts, and meet legal duties.

2. Data we process

• Game data: player names, theme/preferences, game status, clues and events.
• Access data: random host/player tokens (hashed / encrypted) to protect private links.
• Payment data: processed by Stripe. We store Stripe references and payment status; card data stays with Stripe.
• Technical data: server logs (e.g. IP, time, user-agent) for security and debugging.
• Communication: if you email us.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — contract / pre-contract steps
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests (operations, security)
• Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR — legal obligations
• Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent, if optional analytics require it

4. Recipients

• Hosting / database: our hosting provider
• Stripe: payments (Privacy)
• Anthropic: AI generation using necessary game inputs (Privacy)

5. Retention

Game data is kept as long as needed for the service or until deletion is requested, subject to legal retention (e.g. payment records).

6. Your rights

7. Cookies / local storage

Necessary browser data (e.g. language, wizard draft, host token). Optional analytics only if configured.
